D Kelly Design came into existence in March 1999, founded by Duncan Kelly, a seasoned architectural consultant with a rich history in the field. Duncan’s journey began as a partner in previous partnerships dating back to 1987, before venturing into self-employment as a sole practitioner in 1984. Since then, he has been an integral part of the architectural landscape in the Lochaber area, shaping communities with his expertise.

In addition to Duncan, our team comprises two architectural technologists and one administrative secretary. Emma Jane, Duncan’s daughter, brings over 28 years of experience to the table, while Mary, his wife, has been an invaluable asset to the company for 12 years. Lewis Simpson joined our team in 2015, further enriching our team, while Max Henderson began his journey with us as an apprentice technologist in 2020.

Nestled in Moorfield House, Camaghael, Fort William, our office serves as a hub of creativity and innovation. While our roots are firmly planted in Lochaber, our reach extends far beyond, encompassing projects across Argyll & Bute and the Outer & Inner Hebrides. From the picturesque landscapes of Torpoint near Plymouth to the bustling streets of Bishop Auckland, our portfolio showcases our versatility and dedication to delivering excellence, no matter the location.

Our extensive experience in remote projects is a testament to the trust and satisfaction of our clients, many of whom return to us for multiple projects in different locations. This loyalty is built on the foundation of trust and reliability, as clients value our consistent delivery of exceptional results, no matter the distance.

Over the years, we have forged strong relationships with contractors and Local Authority Departments, particularly in the realms of Planning and Building Warrant. This collaborative network enables us to navigate the intricacies of each project seamlessly, ensuring timely approvals and smooth progress from conception to completion.
